Ken follet was born on June 5, 1949 in Cardiff, Wales, and over time has become one of the writers most famous and read of all the world. For there will be few mortals who have not read The pillars of the earth. For those who remain there is my selection of phrases from 6 of his novels who have put it where it is: a reference of popular contemporary literature.
Ken follet
Follet is one of those writers who they have better known how to reach the general public. Crossing out easy or repetitive with your stories historical plots and folkloric tone, what no one can deny him is his merit in reaching those readers (the majority) who have no problem with those concepts in the literature.
They have replaced these weeks on television the adaptation of his most famous novel, The pillars of the earth. But any of those versions always falls short of his original writings. And although of success revalidated with later books, few have had the impact of the history of that construction of medieval Kingsbridge Cathedral. Nor its continuations in the trilogy, An endless world y A column of fire they have not surpassed it either.
