The city's oldest literary event returns with a vengeance: the Córdoba Book Fair will celebrate its half-century of existence. of October 17 to 26 on Gran Capitán Boulevard, transformed into a grand promenade for books, authors, and readers. A comprehensive program has been designed, with presentations, signings, storytelling sessions, and gatherings spread across the main fair spaces.
This year there is a change of pace and season: the fair moves to autumn, “It will be Libra and not Taurus”, and its final stretch will coincide with the festivity of San Rafael, a perfect occasion to experience a bookish atmosphere in the street that the literary team dreams of consolidating as a Sant Jordi in Cordoba, similar to the Seville Book Fair.
Inauguration and first days

The official start will come on Friday the 17th with light gabasPlaneta Prize winner, presenting her novel Corazón de oro and then signing copies on the Bulevar del Libro. The first afternoon will be the center of attention, with a packed atmosphere and the participation of readers of all ages.
On Saturday the 18th, it will open with a stage concert: “Where the birds sing”, by Orpheus Music, and then the creator Quan Zhou will offer a meeting with the public and a master class on autofiction entitled "Tell Me Your Life" at the Delegation/Youth Center. The week will continue with a steady stream of activities and authors: Isabel Bono, Raphael King, Elena Lázaro, Xavier Guillén, and Diego Martínez Torrón, among others, will be passing through the booths and spaces of the venue. A literary biography of Jane Austen (Cristina Oñoro and Ana Jarén) and the essay Praise of Love by Raphael Narbonne, accompanied by the philosopher José Carlos Ruiz.

The boom in young adult and romantic reading will also have its own space. Cherry Chic will present its latest development and Sandra Morales will do the same with A tu vera, with sessions scheduled for Saturday 18 (19:00) and Saturday 25 (18:00), respectively, where long queues of young readers are expected.
The author and illustrator Quan Zhou will hold a meeting to talk about his work (Gazpacho agridulce and Andaluchinas por el mundo) and his recent career, which includes an honorary professorship at New York University (2024) and his status as finalist for the Princess of Girona Awards in the Art category (2025).
