Of the laughter and the excitement, the happiness and the anticipation, the safety and the acceptance, the pleasure and the experience, everything Hawke made me feel. And he was worthy of whatever the consequences were, because it wasn’t just about him. I knew that the moment I asked him to stay. It was about me. What I wanted. My choice.”
