About the Author
Manuel Sans Segarra was born on April 25, 1943, in Spain. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of BarcelonaIn addition, he obtained a doctorate cum laude thanks to his thesis on oesophageal cancer. He was subsequently appointed head of Digestive Surgery at the Bellvitge University Hospital.
Today, he is the president of the Senior Section of the Barcelona College of Physicians, as well as founder of the Association of Senior Physicians of Bellvitge Hospital.
