September is here again. The holidays are ending, or perhaps just beginning, but not quite. What doesn't stop, however, is reading. With autumn fast approaching, September also brings some great new releases . Here's a selection of six of them, featuring authors like Pérez-Reverte, Pérez Gellida, Domingo Villar, and the American Don Winslow . But all of them promise good stories, even in the long run. Let's take a look.

It is then that we meet Elsa Braumann , a young translator of German books living in Madrid in 1940, caring for her sister.
One night, she receives a call from the Captaincy General for a secret mission related to the meeting between Franco and Hitler. During this time, Elsa begins to develop a close relationship with Captain Bernal, the head of security for the operation, a cultured man and a film enthusiast like herself. It takes us to Berlin in 1932 , where we meet Sala and Otto , who are thirteen and seventeen years old, respectively, when they fall in love. He comes from a working-class family in the slums, and she is Jewish and the daughter of an eccentric family of intellectuals. But their paths will diverge in 1938 when Sala has to leave Germany to seek refuge in Paris, and Otto goes to the front as an ambulance doctor.

The former presents this novel, his next after * Line of Fire *, set in 1942 and 1943 and inspired by true events . It recounts an episode of war and espionage that took place during World War II in Gibraltar and the Bay of Algeciras.
At that time, Italian combat divers were sinking and damaging fourteen Allied ships in that area.
