"Silent Declamation" is the result of a collaborative effort between Melania Olcina and trombonist Jorge Moreno.In this piece, the boundaries between dance and music blur to the point that the musician and their instrument become an active part of the choreography. Breathing—whisper, sigh, breath, breeze—is the raw material upon which both artists construct a sensory and poetic itinerary.
During the performance, The dancer's body interprets the desire to fly, taking the bird as a symbol of elevation and aspiration to the intangible. The special program of the Trayectos Festival brought "Silent Declamation" to the North Patio of the AljaferÃa Palace. on the morning of Sunday, June 29th. This space, with its history and majesty, was designed to offer freshness even on the hottest days. The monumental setting provided a propitious setting for this encounter between dance and breath, where architecture and work mutually strengthened each other.
The show was also part of the second day of Summer Nights at CaixaForum Zaragoza, in a session that brought together performances featuring music, movement, and improvisation. In this context, "Silent declamation" demonstrated its ability to move and transform the sound space, creating an intimate and delicate atmosphere.
