Málaga will once again become a meeting point for pop culture fans with a new edition of Comic-Con Málaga . The event will take place from October 1st to 4th at the FYCMA venue, with a program encompassing film, TV series, comics, anime, video games, music, and cosplay.
The event is entering its second year with the challenge of consolidating its position and improving upon the experience of its first edition. The organizers, led by Fernando Piquer as general manager, aim to address the operational issues of the first year and strengthen coordination to better serve a diverse audience.
Dates, venue and organization
The event will be held at the Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Center , known as FYCMA, the same venue that hosted the first edition. Panels, exhibition areas, meetings with authors, and participatory activities will be set up there over four days.
Fernando Piquer has taken over as general manager with the intention of significantly improving the organization. According to the organizers, the goal is for Malaga Comic-Con to establish itself as a leading event for pop culture in Spain.
The program includes meet-and-greets with performers, signings, and photo sessions , as well as areas dedicated to comics, manga, anime, video games, and music. The organizers have emphasized that some of these guest-led activities require a separate ticket.
Guests and programming: from The Boys to The Lord of the Rings
One of the main attractions will be the parade of well-known faces from film and television . Among the confirmed names are Karl Urban and Aya Cash, both associated with The Boys, who will participate in meet-and-greets with the public and in autograph and photo sessions.
There will also be room for television nostalgia with some of the cast of Los Serrano , including Antonio Resines, Fran Perea, Natalia Sánchez, and Antonio Molero, among others. This reunion joins the lineup of events featuring comic book authors and content creators.
One Piece fans will be able to see Iñaki Godoy and Taz Skylar , while the anime and manga section will feature Japanese voice actors and artists associated with popular series. In addition, talks about Star Wars and meetings with manga and anime artists are scheduled.
Sunday will be marked by The Lord of the Rings , with Elijah Wood as one of the featured guests, and by a tribute to Starship Troopers, with actors such as Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, Michael Ironside, and Jake Busey. The day will also include drawing activities, music, and autograph sessions.
The BBVA Cosplay Contest will be another highlight. It will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 19:30 pm in Hall M and will feature a jury composed of Kamui Cosplay, Ayuru Cosplay, Sabaku Cosplay, and Like Linda.
Tickets, reservations and access to activities

To participate in certain panels and meetings, you will need to book your place in advance . This can be done through the official website and the event app, where you can also view the updated program and create a personal schedule.
Reservations are handled through official channels, while other activities operate on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Therefore, it's advisable to check each venue and arrive with plenty of time.
Photos and autographs with guests are arranged as extras and are not included in general admission. Some of these events require an additional fee, while the rest of the program includes panels, workshops, exhibitions, and concerts.
The official Comic-Con Málaga app will allow you to check schedules and last-minute changes . The organizers recommend using it to plan your visit, as the event features many simultaneous activities in different rooms and areas of the venue.
Transport and mobility: shuttle, regular lines and payments

The Malaga Transport Company will reinforce its public transport service between October 1st and 4th to facilitate access to the venue. A special shuttle bus , identified as L64 Comic-Con Malaga, will be available, connecting the city center with FYCMA.
This bus line will depart from the area around Calle Larios and Alameda Principal and will have a stop at Paseo de los Tilos, next to the bus station and near MarÃa Zambrano. This way, those arriving by train or bus will be able to connect to the fairgrounds without needing a car.
Regular bus lines 4, 19, 20, and 22 will also continue operating , with stops near FYCMA. Line 22 is useful for connecting to the university area.
To pay for the bus, passengers can use the usual payment methods, such as the bus card , the Metropolitan Transport Consortium card, bank card, QR code, or cash. The organizers and the Malaga City Council have coordinated this increased service to reduce the use of private vehicles.
Comic-Con Málaga will once again fill FYCMA with four intense days of film, TV series, comics, anime, video games, and cosplay. The presence of guests such as Karl Urban, Aya Cash, Iñaki Godoy, Taz Skylar, Elijah Wood, and members of the cast of Los Serrano and Starship Troopers, along with the cosplay competition and additional bus service, will mark an edition designed to correct past mistakes and improve organization.
