The literary event par excellence in the capital of Huelva returns to the Nuns Square From October 17th to 26th, the event will feature a packed agenda: more than a hundred activities including presentations, signings, storytelling sessions, workshops, and discussions with authors.
Considered the oldest book fair in Andalusia, this 49th edition reinforces its character of open meeting for readers and booksellers, with 22 stands that act as a great showcase of publishers, news and local talent, and is part of cultural events such as the Valencia Comic Fair.
A fair that fills the Plaza de las Monjas
The organization is in charge of the Provincial Association of Bookstores of Huelva, supported by the City Council, the Provincial Council, the Regional Government, the UNIA and the FOE, which allows for a broad and organized program for all audiences.
One of the distinguishing features is the commitment to accessibility: There will be signage with pictograms and a "silent hour" each afternoon (without background music) in collaboration with Autism Huelva Geese to facilitate visits by people with ASD.
La UNIA reopens its space for presentations and meetings, while the Provincial Council exhibits its publishing activity and its network of 39 clubs in 35 municipalities, focusing on the province's reading community.
In addition, the Caja Rural del Sur Foundation participates with its own stand and allocates the entire collection from its publications to the association "Once Upon a Time", adding culture and solidarity to the heart of the fair.

Featured authors and activities
The calendar combines well-known names with local voices who present new works. Authors such as Lorenzo Silva, Nieves Herrero, Susana Martín Gijón, JJ Benítez, Lara Moreno, Inma Rubiales and Rebeca Stones will be present at the UNIA Space, alongside a strong representation from Huelva driven by labels such as Fog, Wick and Onuba.
The fair does not forget the children's audience: there are storytelling, workshops and activities in English, in addition to reading promotion initiatives for schools that bring hundreds of children closer to books every day.
Institutional support, reading clubs and solidarity
The Provincial Council focuses its stand on the editorial novelties and in the Provincial Network of Reading Clubs (39 clubs in 35 municipalities), while the UNIA provides a meeting space for present, converse and read.
For its part, the Caja Rural del Sur Foundation has set up a stand for charity: the sale of its publications is destined entirely to the association "Once upon a time", in support of children with rare diseases.
Ten days of continuous activity, 22 booths and a diverse program consolidate the Huelva Book Fair as an essential meeting point for readers, authors, and booksellers, with proposals ranging from historical research to narrative, poetry, and children's literature.
